Important: Legal Locate is a referral and matching platform. We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. Use of this platform does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Legal Locate.

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Legal Locate mobile application and related services (the "Service") operated by Legal Locate ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Attorneys must hold a valid, active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

2. Description of Service

Legal Locate is a technology platform that connects individuals seeking legal assistance ("Clients") with licensed attorneys ("Attorneys"). The Service allows:

Clients to submit descriptions of their legal matters for review by attorneys in the relevant jurisdiction.
Attorneys to review case summaries, accept cases, and submit competitive bids.
Clients to review attorney profiles and bids and select an attorney to represent them.

Legal Locate does not guarantee that a Client will find an attorney, that any particular attorney will accept a case, or that the legal representation provided will achieve any particular outcome.

3. No Legal Advice

Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice. All information provided through the Service is for general informational purposes only. You should not rely on information on this platform as a substitute for professional legal advice tailored to your specific circumstances.

4. Attorney Accounts

Attorneys who register on Legal Locate agree to:

Provide accurate BAR identification information and maintain an active license in good standing.
Only accept cases in jurisdictions where they are licensed to practice.
Comply with all applicable rules of professional conduct.
Not submit bids or accept cases they cannot competently handle.

We verify BAR credentials at registration. However, it is the attorney's sole responsibility to maintain their licensure and comply with all applicable ethical rules.

5. Client Accounts

Clients who use Legal Locate agree to:

Provide accurate and truthful information about their legal matter.
Understand that submitting a case does not create an attorney-client relationship until directly agreed upon with an attorney outside of this platform.
Not use the Service for any fraudulent, illegal, or abusive purpose.

6. User Conduct

All users agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or defamatory content.
Attempt to circumvent platform fees or contact other users outside the platform to avoid them.
Use the Service to solicit business outside of its intended purpose.
Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to access systems without authorization.

7. Fees

Legal Locate may charge fees for use of the platform. Current fee schedules, if any, will be disclosed within the application. We reserve the right to modify our fee structure with reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEGAL LOCATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legal Locate and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Colorado.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
